I don't know what you're talking about. I don't know anything about code as a Meditation Teacher. This scares me to be honest. I had just re-adjusted to the posts and emails. I don't find it exciting at all . . . and I've been a customer for quite some years now.

Product titles are often truncated :(
malcolm341
Yes this is a lot worse, everything is too big now and hard to edit.
Polyverse
Oh yes, this is not okay...
malcolm341
Something that would be really helpful for product editing page would be if the font and other text tools bar would stay visible when you scroll down the description. I have lots of bullet points in my description and it's a pain to scroll back to the top each time I need to use insert link button for example.

No wonder I felt scared about this . . . having looked at what you call a "redesign" of my posts, I'm astonished at the regression in design and appearance. Not only have I sat back and said nothing about the loss of my lovely profile and products background [a beautiful zen image by San Diego artist Elena Ray] but I patiently waited as I watched boxy-styled emails introduced etc.
But now I see the lovely soft headings in my posts put into boxes. All the Yin of my teaching has disappeared . . . I'm not a coding techy, but a Meditation Teacher of many years, and I thought Gumroad was a safe option for my Monthly Blog Membership. After having paid Premium rate Gumroad subscription for many years, I can't go on . . .
You're obviously on a plan, but it doesn't include Creators like me it would seem. What you appear to be so excited about is Yang and non-inclusive.

can you explain more about your problems you face as a creator. I can help you

Hi Gumroad engineers and UX designers, I have some feedback for the new design from a creator's standpoint:
-On PC the product cards on the profile page are too big making it hard to edit because you can only see two and a half cards at once, they fill most of the screen on a 2k monitor.
-On PC the product card titles on the profile page are all cut off, I hope this isn't customer facing because none of my products have meaningful names when they're truncated like this.
-On PC the white circles you click to go to the next thumbnail are too big and positions at exactly the wrong spot and block my product images in an awkward way making my product cards look unprofessional.
-Overall everything is just way too big now and truncated.

The title has big letters and only one line. None of the names of my products fit. They're not that big. Can you make the titles into two lines, please? Or the ability to adjust the font size for the title.

Gumroad is supposed to fit a wide variety of products. The new look is good, but it seems suitable only for retro-like products and pages.
Yes, the pointy corners are more aggressive and the color palette will feel odd for most brands.
In my opinion, they should either have a generic look n’ feel or give us customization options (even in the form of CSS editing).
Honestly, I chose Gumroad five years ago because of their perfectly designed payment form. If I was presented with the new design, I’m not sure I would stick with it.

I don't like this new design direction at all. Gumroad is losing its "homey" feel. It's now all "sharp" and "edgy". Way less inviting and calm. Seems like a wrong direction for a company that caters to individuals and more like something that wants to be trendy to sell to a corp at a higher price.
And it's literally hurts my eyes every time I go on Gumroad now. You guys should read up on UI/UX design principles and adjust your contrasts.

I agree with those that say that the products are too large on a PC while also cutting off cutting off the product title and it's really not a good look. Also, the bio text on my profile is now way too large which now hurts my eyes and is really difficult to read at that size.

This is absolutely horrible. Zero regard for your creators.
Especially in niches where this design is completely off brand. I'm actually blown away at the ignorance and lack of connection to your customers.
At the very least make these things customizable FROM THE RELEASE.
We work so hard trying to get sales and conversions to make a living only to have you mess it up with things like this. Disgusting.
Listen to your clients and change it back! It's okay to take responsibility and admit you were wrong in making such blanket changes to everyone.
This isn't some game you're making changes to, it's people's income!

I see font changed all over. This one is more curvy and cartoonish. I can't say I like it. Some weird UI effects, like funny black thick shadows, buttons popping out by a mile, sort of a comic look. Less formal now. I guess it feels like it got some retro touch to it, something like UI from the 90s. Not sure if colors follow any specific harmony, feels random. If you ask me whether I like the previous one better, then yes. My opinion only, but it feels weird. Strange design decisions.

This kinda sucks, the automatic resizing of the products on shopfronts in browser seems very aggressive, makes them kinda hard to read visually. you don't get a sense of what's being sold overall
the stark black and white design makes the sidebar seem cluttered and everything's a bit impersonal and honestly in general everything about the redesign for the site seems like a placeholder.
justGoscha
I don't like the new direction Gumroad design is going. It seems too "hip" to look at me I'm a "cool" brand.
I feel like the design should be creator first. It should step into the background and the creators to sell. For that it needs to be:
- Trustworthy
- Clean
- Accessible
I hope this is just the awkward teenage phase of Gumroad, and after iterations we will have something truly great.

Agree with you. You should give payhoy.cc a try!

Cool! Can we get support for SVG format product covers and thumbnails?

I don't know why, oh wait, I do know why every single one of these comments is super dumper mega fast food sized small slushie cup of negative feedback. Keep it up design team. I really like the new UX and layout is more pleasing to the eye and functional than it was before. Good job!

If customers can't even read the product names because the only font size available is so huge, that's not functional. Give us some style options at a minimum.

The text on the new profile product names is so large you can't figure out what my products are if the browser formats with two products across. Not thrilled with that specific aspect of this redesign. Can you make the the product name font size better adapt to the layout?

Welcomed change! The new UI looks sleek and clean. Very excited for the accessible code as well!
